A chessboard with the world's reigning grand master looking down and thinking of which move will best achieve his goals.

Theo makes an interesting sugestion but with a background in child education I prefer to view life as a game of chutes-and-ladders.

Most recently, I have the real sense that God's work in my life is an "uprooting"--like when we transplant plants or weed things out or something like that. Recently I came across this quote in a book I am reading called Dance of the Dissident Daughter by Sue Monk Kidd. Here's the quote: "The thing we need to realize, of course, is that the place of expansion is always on the border. On the edge....if we're going to become whole, we have to go to the edge. Now for the paradox. When we get there, we find it's not the edge at all. No the edge is still further in the distance. The thing is, you can never overtake the Divine."

So next time you go to Grace's EDGE, maybe you can think about this quote and realize just how BIG God is!

PS: By the way, you folks are driving me just a little bit crazy with these nicknames! Who is theologikal??????????? Who is trinamakit??????? ;)
