Pastor's Log - Sabbatical Date 2.1.1-20:30
Day one of our family renewal sabbatical is almost complete and it has been a good day. Rick and I worked out this morning as we typically do on Friday mornings. We did some chores around the house, but we also did some fun things. Elam, Josiah and I played Pictureka together. Elam and I took a walk to the post office, bank and looked around a new downtown shop together. Later on we did some more chores, but Elam, Maggie and I also played Monopoly.
This evening, we hosted some friends for supper. Beth has gotten to know a young women in the community who also has an infant and they had been getting together for play dates over the last few months. Tonight was a chance to spend some time together, but also for our families to get aquainted. We had a nice time together and look forward to future opportunites to connect with them.
