A Week Minus One

Pastor's Log: Sabbatical Date: 2-3-3 -22:23

Tuesday I exercised and worked on our back yard and community garden plots. We also worked on baby proofing the back room, as our youngest is getting around really well now and we need a place that is safe for him to play.  My oldest had his art lesson and then he and mommy went out to dinner just the two of them.  In the evening, Beth spent some one on one time with our four year old while I watched some Generation 1 Transformers with my oldest and then played Lego Batman on the Wii

Wednesday, I worked out and then paid some bills.  My four year old and I played carpet ball in our basement and then watched some 1960's Spider-man.  Then I began to tackle some of the long over due bush trimming and went to the bank.  I did some laundry, read, and gardened.

Thursday, I caught up a bit on my blog and worked out.  Then my parents and sister came down to watch the kids so that Beth and I could get some time to ourselves.  We went on a hike at Glen Helen in Yellow Springs.  Then we stopped at Young's Jersey Dairy to get some ice cream before doing some shopping in Springfield and getting BBQ for a late lunch.  When we got home, we did some more cleaning and organizing.  My oldest has been wanting to play Lord of the Rings Risk with me, so we set everything up and after about an hour and a half had completed 2 turns and called it a game.  I sat down and watched part of a movie with Beth, The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain.

Friday, I worked out and did some more work in the garden and on the bushes.  I went to the bank and discovered that they were serving lunch.  I took mine to go.  When I showed up at home with food, my boys wanted to get some as well so we went back to get their lunches as well.  I spent the rest of the day doing reading and chores.  That night, we got some $5 pizzas and  took the boys to the drive in to see Ice Age 4.  After that movie, we put up a curtain in the van for the boys to go to sleep and Beth and I stayed to watch The Dark Night Rises.
